OCRDA Nationals Round 1
Round 2 of OCRDA Offshore Championships in Cardiff was a weekend of highs and lows for NWS Racing and Rory Collingbourne.
Rory got the weekend off to the perfect start, taking the win in the opening three races. The pace was there from the first race, and with three straight victories, we were in a strong position going into the final race with the overall weekend win well within reach.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. A mechanical issue in the final race forced Rory to retire, resulting in a DNF and dropping us out of contention for the overall victory.
That’s racing. Sometimes everything comes together, and sometimes things happen that are completely out of your control. While the final result wasn’t what we wanted, the weekend showed exactly what this team is capable of. Three race wins and strong, consistent performances throughout the weekend are something everyone can be proud of.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend happen, and to the teams who steeped in to lend a hand when we couldn’t be there. Your support is hugely appreciated.
We’ll take the positives from Cardiff, get everything ready for the next round, and come back fighting.🚀
